A Fun and Safe Place for Toddlers to Play
In our Toddler Unit, children delight in a stimulating environment as they explore our three adjacent rooms across the entire first floor of the building.
We understand that maintaining a daily sleep routine is crucial for children of this age, and it’s an integral part of our “home from home” experience.
To ensure our toddlers get the undisturbed rest they need, we provide a separate sleep room equipped with blackout blinds, soothing music, and monitors.
Room to Develop and Grow for Pre-school
In our Pre-school, children thrive in five expansive rooms designed for exploration within familiar surroundings. Each room is carefully crafted to align with the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum, offering diverse learning opportunities.
A balanced staff-to-child ratio of 1:8 in the Pre-school ensures an ideal environment for child-initiated learning and guided educational activities.
With a mix of ages ranging from 2 to 5 years, our Pre-school fosters a family-like experience where younger children play alongside their older peers. This setup promotes positive role modelling and encourages social interaction across age groups. Our daily structure supports a healthy blend of age-appropriate small group activities and mixed-age interactions, nurturing each child’s development.
Our Garden
Our beautiful and private south-facing 100-foot garden is an essential part of the “Home from Home” experience for our children. It features five distinct play zones where skilled staff lead exciting and stimulating open-ended play activities.
Here, children can enjoy a variety of experiences:
- A rubber-tiled patio with bikes
- A decked area for sand play
- An astro-turf space surrounded by trees for picnics and role play
- A rubber-chipped area with a climbing frame
- Two raised decking areas for large construction projects
- A den, a scientific and exploratory zone, and an allotment!
Our largest decked area is also used for our end-of-term summer performance, where parents are warmly invited to attend. Additionally, there are quieter spots under the shade of apple and cherry trees, providing children with opportunities to rest and read.
Our garden truly is a special space that must be seen to be believed!
